Answer: BTU stands for British Thermal Unit, a measurement that represents heat output. Typically 10,000 BTU can heat approximately 500 square feet.

Question: How much heat does the Gel Flame® fireplace produce?

Answer:  A can of fuel can produce up to 3000 BTU’s. Each fireplace can hold up to 3 Real Flame® gel cans, which will burn for up to 3 hours and reach 9000 BTU’s clean and odor free.

Answer:  The fire may be extinguished at any time, simply by replacing the lid and unused fuel can be saved for a later time

Question: What is needed to install a Gel Flame Fireplace?

Answer:  No complicated installation, no gas hook-ups, and no chimney are required! With just a magnetic lid opener or screwdriver and about forty-five minutes of your time, this stove will be up and burning! Place 1 to 3 cans of RealFlame fuel into the fireplace behind the ceramic log and light.  It’s as east as lighting a candle!

Question : What is a magnetic lid opener?

Answer: The Magnetic Lid Opener is a handy tool which easily opens your gel fuel can. A magnet on the other end allows you to pick up the can lid and safely extinguish the fire while keeping your hands away from the flame. This handy tool is a must for anyone using the Real Flame® gel fuel.
